Microsoft Windows

The download method as presented on the official page at [1] does not work. MS Office can however still be installed by carrying out the following steps.

How to get it

First, you need to get the file startinstall.

• Go to Start, click Run, and enter the path \\cde-filer1.cde.ua.ac.be <file:///\\cde-filer1.cde.ua.ac.be>
• Login with your UA username and password (username: AD\<your_username>).
• Go to the folder Software, and then the folder OfficeInstall
• Double-click the startme icon; this will place a shortcut on your desktop labeled startinstall. Execute this, and the installation should begin.

Mac OS X

The currently available version of Microsoft Office for Mac is 2011.

How to get it

Make sure you are connected to the UA network (either directly or by VPN) and copy the installer file by mounting the folder

• smb://fileserver.ad.ua.ac.be/Programs/OfficeMac2011Dutch (Dutch language version)
• smb://fileserver.ad.ua.ac.be/Programs/OfficeMac2011English (English language version)

in Finder using Command-k.

Mount the ISO file by double clicking it, start the installer package and follow the instructions.
