Hi all,

I recently ran into some issues with installing fonts in LaTeX (sheesh...) using Marc Penninga's autoinst, but thanks to Marc's very quick fixes, most of it has been sorted out pretty quickly; I suppose there will be a new release of autoinst sometime soon.
Anyhow, autoinst is written Perl which means that once I try to tweak it, it'll probably format your primary hard drive instead of converting fonts. :)
The corporate design of the University of Antwerp was established 2006, mainly directed by the Antwerp-based KAN design group. It provides a logo, official colors, a font, and basically covers all the basic needs.
Unfortunately, it leaves some holes with respect to scientific applications. Some of the most striking shortcomings include:
- Unavailability of the corporate design font.

The University of Antwerp's corporate design font is
Underware's
Auto. Actually, it ships in three different variants (Auto 1, Auto 2, Auto 3 -- how imaginative!), the first of which is used most often in all documents.
This is a tutorial for using TrueType (TTF) fonts in (La)TeX. The document tries to be as complete as possible for what it does, and its emphasis is on the benefits that recent developments of the
LCDF typetools deliver. Comparing other popular tutorials written before the
LCDF typetools 2.79 release (which enabled TTF support for most fonts), this actually saves a couple of intermediate steps.
