Hi, I'm Nico Schlömer and I'm working as a PhD student of Numerical Analysis in the TWNA research group at the University of Antwerp (Universiteit Antwerpen) since November 2007.

Prior to this, I completed my Diplommathematiker degree (German equivalent to Master of Sciene in Mathematics) at the Institute of Numerical Analysis of the University of Technology Dresden (Technische Universität Dresden) under supervision of Dr. Torsten Linß.See the corresponding entry in the research section for details.

On the semi-professional side, I'm interested in free and open source software, particularly the Linux operating system. The corresponding site is also meant to contain a comprehensive list of guidelines that makes life with Linux at the UA just a little less complicated.
